University of Texas shooting leaves gunman dead, classes cancelled
A man shot and killed himself on University of Texas-Austin campus this morning and classes there have been canceled for the day, according to reports by The Houston Chronicle.
University of Texas President Bill Powers canceled classes after a man shot and killed himself in the Perry-CastaƱeda Library between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. this morning. In the report, Power said there have been no other reports of injuries and that the campus remained on lockdown as of 10:45 a.m.
The Associated Press has reported that police are searching for a possible second shooter.
