KOMU, Mediacom renew retransmission agreement
After several months of negotiations, Mediacom and KOMU reached an agreement Friday afternoon.
“We are extremely happy to reach a fair and mutually beneficial agreement with Mediacom,” KOMU 8 General Manager Marty Siddall said in a news release. “We are pleased that our audience and their subscribers will again be receiving NBC programming, local news, weather, sports and public service information. We appreciate the patience of our viewers and look forward to being a welcome guest in their homes again.”
KOMU 8, NBC, Mid-Missouri's CW and Universal Sports have all been unavailable for Mediacom subscribers since early Tuesday morning. They will be restored Friday evening. Mediacom said additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
