Mike Matthes announced new Columbia city manager
Mayor Bob McDavid announced Mike Matthes as the new city manager for Columbia today. Matthes was the assistant city manager and chief information officer in Des Moines, Iowa prior to coming to Columbia.
The reasoning behind choosing Matthes will be given during the City Council's regular meeting tonight at 7 p.m.
