Obama speaks at memorial service for Joplin tornado victims
President Obama spoke at a memorial service in Joplin, Mo., Sunday night to honor victims of the F5 tornado that struck the city this past Sunday.
"As president, I can promise you, your country will be there every step of the way," Obama said. "The cameras may leave. But we will be with you every step of the way until Joplin is back on its feet.”
Obama said that is something he promised to the victims of the twister in Tuscaloosa, Ala., as well as victims of other severe weather disasters this spring.
He spoke about specific Joplin residents who fell victim to the tornado and their acts of heroism in saving others' lives.
“What we do know is that in a split-second moment, when there is not time for internal debate, these actions are driven by love,” Obama said of those people.

Is Obama lying or mentally ill? He told the people of Joplin that we can't know when storms like this will hit, but he slashed NASA and NOAAs budget, axing the satellites that we would need to foresee these events. Also, Saturn's raging with storms right now, maybe the sun knows something we don't?
