Columbia residents may have conserved less energy this year than last during Earth Hour, as the Columbia Missourian and The Maneater report, but the University of Missouri hopes to conserve further tomorrow night. MU students will participate in Blackout Mizzou, an initiative similar to Earth Hour, by turning off their lights. The lights at Stankowski Field will be extinguished and a campfire lighted at South Hall during the program, which will take place from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In light of rumors that the University of Memphis has asked to speak with MU basketball coach Mike Anderson regarding a possible coaching position at the school, Missouri athletics spokesman Dave Reiter is stating that no such request has been made. Read the full article from the Missourian here.

The Missouri Students Association wants to make EZ Charge a little bit easier. As The Maneater reports, the Missouri Students Association might move to expand the EZ Charge program for use at local businesses.
