Man injured in I-70 accident

A man was injured Friday night after the car he was driving flipped over on eastbound Interstate 70 near Providence Road.
Units from the Columbia Fire Department and Boone County Fire Protection District were called to the scene at 8:09 p.m. to extricate the driver, Columbia resident Larry Shinn, who was trapped inside the vehicle.
Shinn was taken by ambulance to University Hospital with moderate injuries.
