Man robbed at car wash
A man was robbed at gunpoint early this morning from from a local car wash.
A 61-year-old Boonville resident was collecting cans at the Squeaky B's Car Wash 1301 Paris Rd. when he was robbed by two men at 12:32 a.m., the Columbia Police Department news release stated.
The suspects identified themselves as police officers and began to show the victim some type of identification. During this, the first suspect pulled up his shirt and showed the victim what appeared to be a black handgun. The suspects then told the victim they needed to check him and to put his hands on the vehicle. While the victim was being searched the first suspect removed his wallet. The suspects then fled the scene in a small, dark-colored vehicle, the news release stated.
The first suspect is described in the news release as being a black male in his mid-twenties, about 5’8 ft tall, with medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a dark shirt and dark pants at the time. The second suspect is described as being a white male in his mid to late twenties with a slim build. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and faded jeans.
