Woman robbed while delivering pizza
An attempted burglary was reported at Sunset Trailer Park at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday, a Columbia Police Department news release stated.
The victim of the burglary was delivering a pizza to an address when she realized she was lost. While searching for the correct house, her vehicle was suddenly surrounded by 5 or 6 black males, the news release stated.
The males surrounding the car demanded money, but the victim was able to flee the scene. The attempted burglary occurred around 8:20 p.m., but the victim was delayed in reporting the incident because of vehicle problems after fleeing the scene.
The suspects are identified as being in their twenties. Although 5 or 6 suspects were identified, only five are given exact descriptions.
“Due to this being a open active investigation, we are not prepared to release the victim's name at this point,” said Sgt. Ken Hammond.
