MUPD makes arrests for Hearnes Center burglary

The MU Poiice Department has taken four juveniles into custody for a burglary that occurred at the Hearnes Center on Sept. 27, an MUPD news release stated.

Two females identified in the surveillance video that was released by MUPD cooperated with the police and are no longer considered suspects, the news release stated.

MUPD Capt. Brian Weimer said through the partnership with the public, the department was able to identify the people in the video and bring a successful conclusion to the case.

“We’d like to thank the public for the quick response and assistance in identifying the four individuals in the video,” Weimer said in the news release.

According to the news release, MUPD is still seeking assistance in identifying people in photos that are available on the department’s Web site. The photos are in reference to an assault that occurred outside of the Maryland Avenue Garage on Sept. 19. MUPD is looking for assistance in identifying any or all the people in the photos.
