MU women's basketball players arrested, suspended

Missouri senior forwards Amanda Hanneman and Jessra Johnson have been suspended indefinitely by coach Cindy Stein after getting arrested early Friday morning, according a post by the Columbia Daily Tribune.
The post stated Columbia police said the pair assaulted a 21-year-old male cheerleader.
CPD Sgt. Tim Moriarit said it occurred around 2 a.m. when an apartment tenant complained about a gathering becoming too loud. Hanneman and Johnson were the only ones arrested from the gathering, the Tribune stated.
Hanneman and Johnson were arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault. Both were released on $500 bonds.
The Tigers were coming off an 83-34 victory over Texas-Pan American on Thursday night. Hanneman scored 13 points and grabbed four rebounds. Johnson put up eight points and five rebounds.
Johnson scored her 1000th career point on Tuesday night in a win over Bradley. Hanneman is averaging 13.3 points and Johnson averages 14.1 per game.
Missouri will host Murray State Sunday at Mizzou Arena.
