Fire in garage of Boone County home
Firefighters work to knock down any stray hot spots Saturday afternoon after a fire gutted a detached garage located at 7555 Fall Creek Drive. The roof collapsed during the fire, along with a wall of the garage.
The Boone County Fire Protection District and Columbia Fire Department responded to a fire Saturday afternoon at 7555 Fall Creek Drive in Boone County. Lt. Josh Creamer of the BCFPD said the call came in at 3:05 p.m.
The fire started in a detached garage next to the home and the cause was not immediately known, Creamer said. About 30 to 35 firefighters responded to the fire which lasted several hours and required both departments to respond. The location of the fire was under Boone County jurisdiction.
