CPD investigating stolen vehicle near Jefferson St.
The Columbia Police Department is investigating a report of a stolen vehicle in Columbia, a CPD news release stated.
A man traveling from Kansas to Pennsylvania was approached by two men asking for a ride at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at a Phillips 66 gas station on 1004 N. Stadium Blvd., the news release stated.
Near Jefferson St., the men ordered the driver to give them his vehicle, indicating they would hurt him if he refused, the news releases stated. The driver complied and the two suspects left with the vehicle.
According to the news release, the stolen car is a 2007 black Dodge Ram 1500 with the Kansas license plate JXI 449. The vehicle also has three iron cross designs in the back windshield.
The suspects are described to be in their 20s, of average height and build and wearing black hooded sweatshirts, the news release stated.
CPD considers the suspects to be dangerous and encourages anyone who has information to call Crime Stoppers at 875-tips, the news release stated.
