Cars burglarized at Hearnes Center
More than thirty cars have been burglarized at the Hearnes Center in the past two weeks.
MU Police Department Capt. Brian Weimer said the first burglary happened at 2 a.m. on March 7 and since then, 31 other cars have been burglarized.
Weimer said the thefts do not increase when there are special events being held at the Hearnes Center.
A variety of items have been stolen from the cars, Weimer said. They range from expensive electronic items like CD players, stereos, iPods, GPS devices and Wii systems to small items like glasses.
