Boone County National Bank robbed
The Boone County National Bank at 2117 W. Broadway was robbed Wednesday afternoon at 3:25 p.m., stated a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
No one was injured during the incident and no customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery, the new release stated.
The suspect was described as a man with a dark tan complexion. He was around 5’5” or 5’6”, thin and in his late 40s or early 50s. He wore blue jeans, a black long-sleeved sweatshirt and large sunglasses.
The suspect had a medium-framed, semi-automatic silver handgun and demanded money. He then fled in from the bank in a western direction, the news release stated.
The suspect’s might be driving a small red pickup, which could be a Chevrolet S-10 or Ford Ranger model.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact CPD or Crimestoppers.
