Murder suspect certified to stand trial as adult

One of the suspects in the murder of Ronald Brown will stand trial as an adult.

Nikolaus Wadlow was certified as an adult by a Family Court judge at 4 p.m. Monday. Following the judge's ruling, Wadlow was arrested on charges of second-degree murder and first-degree robbery stated a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Wadlow was taken into custody by investigators of CPD's Major Crimes Unit and was released into the custody of the Boone County Jail following processing at CPD.

Wadlow is one of six suspects taken into custody during the course of the investigation and is the second juvenile suspect to be certified to stand trial, the news release stated.

How is it possible that 6 people are being charged with murder when not all of them murdered someone? It is understandable that these kids need to be punished for what they did do, but is it really necessary that all of these boys' lives be ruined because one of them made a terrible mistake??
