Man shot on Grand Avenue
Columbia police officers stand inside police tape near shell casings on Monday night. A 36-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a gun shot wound to the arm.
A 36-year-old man was shot in the arm Monday night at Fourth Street and Grand Avenue, stated a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
The victim said he was driving on Grand Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. when a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt started shooting at him. The victim’s car was also hit during the shooting.
The victim was taken to University Hospital Emergency Room with non-life threatening injuries, the news release stated.
Police do not know which way the suspect went after the incident.
Police are asking anyone with information to submit a tip on the Crime Stoppers Web site, the news release stated.
