Columbia woman injured after being hit by car
A 42-year-old Columbia woman was injured Thursday night when a car backed into her in north Columbia, stated a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
Alexander Thomas Haddock, 21, the driver of a 1994 Honda Accord backed up into the woman, running over her legs, around 5:05 p.m. Thursday at 1114 N. Eighth St.
The victim received traumatic injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance, the news release stated.
Haddock was investigated for being under the influence and was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and impudent driving.
