Domino's employee held at gunpoint
A 43-year-old Domino's Pizza employee was held at gunpoint outside the restaurant early Saturday morning when two suspects attempted to rob him, stated a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
The victim was not injured and no property was stolen.
At 3:05 a.m., the two suspects ambushed the victim outside the restaurant at 1621 Towne Drive. One of the suspects displayed a shotgun and demanded money, but the victim didn’t have any on him the news release stated.
He was told to lie on the ground while the two suspects left the scene.
The first suspect was described as a man over six feet tall and weighing 170 pounds. He wore clothing over his face with holes cut out for his eyes. The second suspect was described at 5’6’’, 250 pounds, wearing dark clothes and armed with a shotgun, the news release stated.
The investigation is ongoing.
