Knife attack in southwest Columbia
An 18-year-old was assaulted Monday afternoon with a knife in southwest Columbia, according to a report by the Columbia Daily Tribune.

According to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff, deputies responded to an attack at the 4500 block of Southview Drive around 4:20 p.m. Monday. The victim was brought to the hospital to be treated for injuries and witnesses identified a Terry L. Butler of Columbia as being involved with the attack.
Butler is being held at Boone County Jail for second-degree assault and one count of armed criminal action, the press release stated.
