Columbia Police arrest 12 on Friday, still searching for 3
The Columbia Police Department's Narcotics Unit conducted a "warrant round-up" last Friday at 7:30 a.m. in which 12 of 20 defendants were arrested, a CPD press release stated.
Charges of the suspects include drug possession, drug sales and drug trafficking.
CPD spokeswoman Jessica Haden said between Friday and Monday, five more suspects were arrested. Haden also said while searching for the remaining defendants, two suspects from separate investigations were found and were taken into custody.
Friday's round-up received assistance from CPD’s Major Crimes Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Patrol Divisions, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the MUSTANG Task Force and the FBI, the press release stated.
CPD is currently searching for three more suspects but the "warrant round-up" concluded on Friday.
