Fire damages bedroom in duplex

Columbia firefighters responded to a fire in a duplex at 1509 W. Worley St. early Tuesday morning, stated a post from the Columbia Daily-Tribune.

At 2:43 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the building where they found smoke coming out its east side. Fire damage was contained to the bedroom and was put out in about five minutes. There was smoke damage throughout the east unit and the west unit had no damages.

There was no one home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. An investigation into what caused the fire is underway.
