CPD arrest two from Conley Road shooting
The Columbia Police Department has arrested two suspects responsible for the robbery and shooting at 415 Conley Road in December, a CPD news release stated.
On Dec. 13, a Wal-Mart employee was shot during a robbery attempt outside of the Wal-Mart at 415 Conley Road while taking a scheduled break, the news release stated.
According to the news release, last Wednesday CPD detectives from the department's Investigative Bureau received information about the location of the suspect vehicle from the incident. The vehicle was located behind 1004 Elleta Blvd. in Columbia and was then towed to a secure facility to be processed for evidence.
Investigators were then able to identify the two suspects responsible for the robbery and shooting, the news release stated. On Friday around 9 p.m., CPD arrested a juvenile suspect for first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. The suspect was identified as the person who shot the employee in the robbery attempt, the news release stated.
On Tuesday around 4 p.m., CPD also arrested Darrius L. Davis for the offense, the news release stated. Davis, who is a Columbia resident, was arrested for first-degree assault and first-degree robbery, with a to-be-set bond.
