CFD answers calls for service during winter storm
Since 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the Columbia Fire Department has responded to over 50 calls for service, the most prevalent being vehicle crashes, a CFD news release stated.
The news release also stated from 2 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday, CFD responded to 28 reported crashes with injuries or injuries and extrications.
According to the news release, other calls include medical emergencies, flooded structures, a vehicle fire and fire alarms. No structure fires were reported during this period.
