Fire reported at Jesse Hall a false alarm
The Columbia Fire Department responded to a report early Saturday morning of a fire at Jesse Hall.
CFD Battalion Chief James Weaver said around 1: 45 a.m. the reported "smoke" seen coming out of the building was actually steam from pipes. The report came in from a concerned observer and there was no fire found.
"There was no fire at Jesse Hall tonight," Weaver said.
