MUPD seeks information in on-campus assault
The MU Police Department is seeking the public's help to identify a suspect in an assault reported early Saturday morning on the MU campus.
According to a press release on the department's website, officers responded to an assault reported near University Avenue and Hitt Street at around 2:20 a.m. A female victim was treated at the scene and released. The release said additional details cannot be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
The victim reportedly described the suspect as a white male in his early twenties, heavy set, wearing a yellow shirt and khaki shorts. Investigators were able to pull video images from cameras in the area that match the general description of the suspect. More images of the possible suspect from different angles are available on the MUPD's website

Informants do not have to give their names and may be eligible for a $1,500 reward if their information leads to an arrest.
