Highway Patrol releases records on traffic stops

Lead by Capt. Gregory Kindle, Troop F headquarters in Jefferson City stopped 280 drivers on counts of illegal motorist activity in Miller County and Camden County during August 2010. For every twenty-one vehicles stopped, an arrest was enacted.

According to a news release, enforcement contacts of operations are as follows:

      13 -- DWI
     10 -- Speed
     15 -- Seat Belt
      7 -- Other Hazardous Moving
     16 -- Non-Moving
     10 -- Driver’s License
      6 -- Insurance
       5 -- Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests
   364 -- Warnings
