California pot activists to address Columbia meeting

California marijuana activists Ed Rosenthal and Angela Bacca are in town for tonight's meeting of the Columbia Police Review Board. They filed a complaint with board about the Columbia Police Department's use of force in a February SWAT raid in which a dog was shot and killed.

The two were the first to file a complaint with the board, which spent much of its previous meeting debating whether it could here the complaint because Rosenthal and Bacca are not Columbia residents and are not related to the family whose house was raided.

The Maneater will be covering the meeting live tonight and post updates on the Police Beat blog. According to a Facebook event created by Rosenthal's supporters, he will be rallying in front city hall after the meeting. Several local groups have shown support for the visit, including CoMoCitizens, Americans for Forfeiture Reform, Mizzou NORML, and Keep Columbia Free.
