Man shot in head at Columbia Apartment
A shooting victim suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot in the head early Tuesday morning.
According to a Columbia Police Department news release, officers were dispatched to 1510 Sylvan Lane at about 4:50 a.m. They arrived at the scene within three minutes of the call.
Police located 30-year-old victim inside the apartment and secured the scene for fire and EMS personnel to provide medical attention. The victim was transferred to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators with the Major Crimes unit are in the process of interviewing potential witnesses, the news release stated. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified at this point.
