Thieves take castle from Hudson

Two suspects allegedly stole a 15-foot-tall castle from the Rollins lobby at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The pink and grey castle was designed as part of the residence hall's sexual assault awareness programing, according to an e-mail from Hudson Hall Coordinator Robert Stagni. It was conceptualized, designed, painted and installed by student staff.

In the e-mail, Stagni said video footage of the crime does not produce enough information to identify the suspects.

"(The suspects) came in, carefully took the castle down and ran off with it," he wrote.

Stagni said he didn't want the staff to think their future efforts would result in more instances of theft or vandalism.

"If you know anything, or see or hear anything, the entire Hudson community would be supremely grateful for its safe and prompt return," he wrote.
