Police respond to home invasion
Early Tuesday morning, Columbia Police Department officers responded to a robbery at 3200 Martha Drive.
Upon arrival, the victim said she heard someone at her door and, thinking it was a friend, began to open it. The door was then shoved open immediately, causing her to lose her balance. Two men and one women stormed into the house and proceeded to strike the victim several times. They then locked her in a closet in a bedroom. As the female suspect held the door shut, she threatened the victim with death if she came out.
Although she refused medical treatment, the victim did receive minor injuries. The suspects stole several electronics as well as the victim's purse before they left in a black SUV.
