Police investigate strong-armed robbery near Ellis Library
The MU Police Department is investigating a strong-armed robbery that occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday near Ellis Library at the intersection of S. Ninth Street and Conley Avenue.
According to an MU Police Department Clery Release, the victim said the suspects struck him on the head from behind and pushed him to the ground, face down. The suspects then struck him several times on the back of the head and took his cash. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, the release stated.
The victim could not describe the suspects or the vehicle to investigators because he was thrown in the snow. He was released from University Hospital and did not suffer from any apparent major injuries.
