MU Police make arrest in armed robbery
Monday evening, MU Police Department officers arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery near the intersection of Rollins Street and East Campus Drive, an MUPD news release stated.
The robbery occurred around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1. The victim told police the suspects wore dark-colored masks and robbed her at gunpoint, taking two cell phones and a wallet with credit cards. Around 30 minutes after police responded to the robbery, one of the stolen credit cards was used at a convenience store to purchase cigarrettes and lottery tickets.
According to the news release, Shane Calahan was arrested on suspicion of two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action and forgery. Brandt Feutz was arrested on suspicion of two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
