MUPD receives report of rape outside Laws residence hall

At about 6:39 a.m. Tuesday, the MU Police Department received a report of a rape outside of Laws residence hall.

According to an MUPD news release, the victim said a man approached her between 4 and 5 a.m. and asked her several questions, then proceeded to assault and rape her. After the attack, the man, who she said appeared to be an older college-aged student with a short haircut, fled toward university parking lot WG 6. She wasn't able to provide any further information at the time.
