Columbia Police officers were dispatched to a Petro Mart Convenience Store on Range Line at 4:24 a.m. Friday morning in reference to an armed robbery.
According to a Columbia Police Department news release, the suspect entered the store with a knife and demanded money from the two clerks. He left with an undisclosed amount of money in a southeasterly direction on foot.
A Boone County K-9 unit tracked the suspect successfully, but the track ended in a parking lot where it is believed the suspect entered a vehicle and left the area.
