MUPD arrested a man for terrorist threats toward MU Hospital

Almost a week after a threatening phone call was made to MU Health Care, the MU Police Department has made an arrest in the case Saturday afternoon.

According to an MUPD news release, officers arrested Ruben Espinosa in connection with making a “terrorist threat” toward hospital employees.

Espinosa is not a student, and he has been held in lieu of $4,500 at the Boone County Jail, the release stated.

MUPD contacted Espinosa at his residence, and Espinosa agreed to go to the police department to speak with officers, according to the release.

Espinosa was arrested while at the police department. The release stated that because of the investigative nature of the report, no additional information is available.
