Fall foliage will peak throughout mid-Missouri this week, MU forestry professor Stephen Pallardy said.
“Yellow and red will be especially brilliant colors,” Pallardy said. “Sugar maples along the Missouri River and bluffs will be very pretty.”
For recommendations about where to see the autumn leaves at their prime, the Missouri Department of Conservation lists a weekly color update on its website.
Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, Three Creeks Conservation Area and Route 94 are some of the top places to experience autumn this week, resource forester Angela Belden said.
