Curators approve new student housing project

A new student housing project was approved by the Board of Curators Tuesday. The new residence hall, tentatively named Virginia Avenue South, is budget at $28.4 million and is planned to be ready by the fall of 2015. Stay with The Maneater for further updates about the new project.

Curators discuss FY2013 budget

The UM System Board of Curators reviewed its FY 2013 budget Tuesday. According to the meeting, the FY2013 operating budget is more than 3.6 percent higher than the FY2012 level. The curators also discussed ways to help keep the budget balanced in 2013. This included ways to balance $35.3 million in revenue enhancements and cost savings. Jazz Degree proposed, Emergency Preparedness Assessment discussed

The UM system Board of Curators also discussed today the results of an internal Emergency Preparedness Assessment audit. The audit revealed there needs to be a more thorough alignment for the emergency preparedness between all of the campuses in the UM system. Curators meeting begins, protest to take place outside of meeting

The UM System Board of Curators began itsfirst session of a two-day set of meetings by discussing retirement plans for new and old employees. A planned protest by supporters of the Missouri Press is taking place outside of the meeting. The UM System announced May 24 the press would be disbanded.
