Ellis wins Midlands Championship

Ellis' championship match against Pittsburgh's Zach Sheaffer is the final match of the 2008 Midlands Tournament. After a scoreless first period, Ellis got a reversal but Schaeffer escaped to end the second period with a 2-1 Ellis lead. Ellis was then able to control Schaeffer for the entire third period for a 2-1 victory.
