Missouri goes 0-4 in semi-finals, falls in team standings
Marable started off Missouri's semi-final matches by wrestling against defending NCAA runner-up, Wisconsin's Andrew Howe. Marable lost in double overtime. Both wrestlers were tied, but Howe had the advantage in riding time, so the tie breaker went to Howe.
Henderson, trying to upset Central Michigan's Ben Bennett, fell just short and lost 3-2 in the final seconds of the match.
Askren wrestled Illinois' John Dergo. Askren defeated Dergo earlier in the season, but it was Dergo who got the better of Askren today, scoring a last second takedown for a 3-2 win.
Bradley, trying to get Missouri one wrestler in the finals, also lost in double overtime, 2-1.
All of these wrestlers, as well as Ellis, will now wrestle again to determine who goes for third place and who goes for fifth. Ellis and Bradley will meet in the heavyweight bracket as well. So far this season, Bradley holds a 2-1 advantage over Ellis.
Missouri also fell behind Central Michigan in the team standings and now stands in 4th place overall in the tournament.
