Tigers Strike First

In Manhattan, the Missouri Tigers opened the game with a 23-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Grant Ressel. MU went 75 yards, but stalled at Kansas State's five yard line. Sophomore quarterback Blaine Gabbert was six of seven on the drive, but the one incompletion came on third down in the red zone.

Senior wide receiver Danario Alexander picked up where he left off last week, catching three passes in the drive for 28 yards. But the Tigers got it done on the ground as well, as junior tailback Derrick Washington had a 12-yard run, and Gabbert added a 25-yard rush himself.
