Tigers take five point lead into the locker room
Despite missing its first seven shots, Iowa State has hung around so far as this game has gone into halftime with the Tigers leading 28-23.
Denmon and sophomore forward Laurence Bowers are the game's scoring leaders with eight points a piece. Neither team has been very accurate: MU is 38.7 percent from the field and the Cyclones are seven points worse.
Missouri ran off a couple nice-looking fast break scores that have led to MU posting eight fast break points in the half. Despite that total, ISU has slowed Missouri down to the point of keeping this game close.
Whether or not the Cyclones can continue to keep up with Missouri is another question. Only eight players are active tonight for Iowa State, so it will be interesting to see how they stand up as the minutes pile up. Missouri is known for wearing opponents down, even those who don't have a roster as thin as ISU.
