Tigers look to sweep the Buffs
The Tigers' 74-59 victory over Nebraska last Saturday gave MU a season sweep of the Cornhuskers, and tonight Missouri sets its sights on another sweep against Colorado.
MU handled the Buffs by a score of 84-66 at Colorado on Feb. 6 and have won their last seven over CU. Tonight's game will have the Tigers fighting to solidify their spot in the top third of the Big 12 standings and win three-straight games for the first time this conference season.
The Tigers would be well served to try and keep freshman guard Alec Burks under their thumb during this one. Burks is averaging 17.5 points a game in conference play and exploded for 27 against the Tigers earlier in the season.
Burks has been a bright spot for an improved Colorado team this season, but CU still sits at 10th in the Big 12 with a 3-9 conference mark. Colorado certainly isn't a team to overlook, but Missouri shouldn't have its hands full, either.
