Jayhawks take round two of Border Showdown
No. 2 Kansas hands Missouri a 77-56 loss in front of a sold out crowd at Mizzou Arena. The Tigers finish the regular season 22-9 overall and 10-6 in the Big 12.
Despite fits of brilliance from MU, the Jayhawks proved to be too powerful and used large runs in the first and second halves to pull away from the Tigers. The Tigers held the lead early in the first half but a 20-4 charge by KU to end the first half saw it leading by 16 at the break.
In the second half, Missouri scratched to within four points before the Jayhawks exploded again to put the game out of reach.
Next up for the Tigers is the Big 12 Tournament, though it is known for certain what seed will be assigned to Missouri.
