Saturday morning in Austin

Texas fans display signs mocking MU senior quarterback Chase Daniel on the set of ESPN College Gameday.

Longhorn fans were lined up before sunrise this morning to get some face time on ESPN's College Gameday. Their weeklong No. 1 ranking certainly has pumped them up as the atmosphere was electric.

The sky behind the Gameday set was painted with hundreds of signs. As always, some were hilarious—others were just mean:

"Chase wears Longhorn PJ's to bed."

"Chase Daniel has a FUPA."

"Orkapo phobia"

"The only good Tiger plays golf."

All trash talking aside, the show did serve a purpose of breaking down all of today's maor college football matchups—especially the No. 1 Longhorns vs. the No. 11 Tiger's game at 7 p.m. tonight.

It's hard to believe that the analysts could even hear themselves think over the Texas band and screaming fans right behind them.

"We've been doing this so long, you just lock in," ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit said. "You appreciate the fans showing up and going all crazy, but it's like asking Chase Daniel 'how do you deal with the crowd?' I'm actually more focused when we're on the road than when we're in a quiet studio just because you have to be so locked in."

As predicted Lee Corso sported the Longhorn mascot head to conclude the show. That's his way of saying that he thinks Texas will win. One of his key reasons for the prediction is based off the dominance of Texas' defensive line and the Missouri offensive line's shaky performance last week.

"(Oklahoma State) twisted a lot," Corso said. "They changed the coverages in the secondary against Chase. I'm sure Texas will do something like that, but Missouri has had another week of preparation."

To beat the high pressure Corso stressed the importance of the Missouri's run and short passing game.

"If you're going to beat Missouri, you stuff the run, force Chase Daniel to throw the ball 50 times and the play percentages to get an interception," Corso said. "If they run it tonight, they're going to win."

The biggest game of Missouri's season is now just three hours away. If they win, the dream of a National Championship lives on. If not…well, let's not go there.
