Missouri runs to 17-8 lead at TV timeout
The Missouri athletic department slaps the catchline "The Fastest 40 Minutes in Basketball" on all of its media notes, and the team's done absolutely nothing to prove the department wrong so far today.
Missouri won the opening tip and hit the floor running. Senior forwards DeMarre Carroll and Leo Lyons have hit Cal time and time again with baseline fadeaways.
After an early 7-2 lead, Cal fought back to a one-point deficit primarily on mid-range jumpers, but since then, Missouri's been back in charge. Lyons charged up the Mizzou Arena crowd with a fadeaway, followed by a steal and an easy bucket.
