Mizzou Arena crowd doing its part
Mizzou Arena is nowhere near sold out this afternoon, but today's crowd is making its presence felt.
The crowd has been active at all times, exploding at obvious times such as Missouri steals and 3-pointers. However, the most impressive component right now may be the crowd's collective basketball IQ.
The crowd's cheers grew noticeably louder as Cal tried to drive the lane but continued to be forced to the perimeter by quick-shuffling Missouri defenders. The noise level also jumped on several long Missouri possessions as the Tigers were able to come up with multiple offensive rebounds.
The decibel level got high enough at one point that a whistle following a Missouri foul was inaudible from press row.
