Pressure defense working for Tigers
The Tigers are sporting their alternate gold jerseys for the first time this season. Anderson also opened up the defense with a bit of a different look by bringing some full court pressure. On both of Chattanooga's first two possessions, they failed to even cross half court.
Missouri defensive pressure continued to pay off as they took an early 6-2 advantage. Chattanooga coach John Shulman was able to make a quick offensive adjustment and have his team push the ball hard. That strategy has worked well as the Mocs are now only trailing 8-7. They've looked solid offensively with a three-pointer and huge dunk on their last two possessions.
After a media timeout with about 15 minutes on the clock, Anderson elected to stay with his starting lineup instead of putting in some of the freshmen off the bench. The Tigers now lead 12-9 after two nice shots by their forwards.
