Tigers top Chattanooga 103-75
What looked like it may be a close game at half time, turned into an absolute blowout for Missouri as they went on to beat Chattanooga 103-75. The Tigers were led by Lyons who finished the game with 25 points.
Missouri will now travel to Puerto Rico for the O"Reilly Auto Parts Tip-Off where they will take on Xavier in the first round. Xavier is fourth amongst teams receiving votes in the AP Poll outside the top 25. Success in the tournament could provide a huge boost early in the season for the Tigers.

Let me "fact check" for the sports section from their latest mizzou/big 12 basketball preview: So much for Denmon being the leading scorer, eh Maneater staff? I know someone picked Leo Lyons, that makes more sense. But Denmon? Really? He is a freshman and doesn't even start. Lyons almost went to the NBA Draft last year, just looking at some history and guessing Lyons would of been a better pick than Denmon. Great, he led the team in scoring in the INTRASQUAD SCRIMMAGE. Sure-fire All-Big 12 player... And Longar Longar of Oklahoma graduated last year, so he can't be OU's "leading returning rebounder." Not to mention, he wasn't even the leading rebounder on his team - Blake Griffin was. How can you not mention him coming back? He was going to be a lottery pick, is widely regarded as one of the top 3 posts in the nation along with Tyler Hansbrough and Luke Harangody, and, led the team in points and rebounds last year. Richard Roby, a Colorado basketball player, graduated as well, you guys said he was coming back. Former All-American DJ Augustin of Texas, not DJ Augustine. Henry Dugat, not Henry Dugar of Baylor. And I didn't realize Bryan Davis of Texas A&M was a "monster" scoring a whopping 9 points a game. Anthony Brown of Oklahoma State was a key returning senior year because he played in a whopping 14 of 33 games last year. Really? Wow. That's all I can remember off the top of my head. Yes, this is without a copy of it in front of me, these errors were that glaring.
