Game review

The steadfast Tiger defense stopped the last ditch effort to strike the scoreboard for Colorado, making it a 26-0 final score.

The shut out victory makes Missouri 5-0 on the year and completes a sweep of their four-game home stand.

Buffalo defensive end picks off Franklin

Colorado defensive end Josh Hartigan picked off James Franklin on a short pass over the middle, just putting his hands up in time to make the quick grab.

The Buffaloes take over and will try to prevent the shutout.

Kip Edwards interception stalls Buffalo drive

Sophomore backup cornerback Kip Edwards intercepted a tipped pass from Colorado and nearly took it all the way back for the score but was hit out-of-bounds.

Tigers take over at the Colorado 33.

Franklin steps up at quarterback, throws first passing TD

Freshman James Franklin connected with tight end Michael Egnew in the corner of the end zone for another Tiger score. Franklin is in at quarterback in the fourth for a possibly injured Gabbert.

Tigers now lead 26-0 with nine minutes left in the game.

Uneventful third quarter

Neither team scored in the third quarter, as both defenses forced multiple three-and-outs. Colorado entered Missouri territory twice but failed to capitalize.

The Buffaloes threaten at the Tiger 33-yard line to start the fourth quarter.

Score remains 19-0 Missouri.

Halftime update from Faurot

The Missouri Tigers lead 19-0 over the visiting Colorado Buffaloes at halftime.

After a strange start to the scoring with a safety for Missouri on an intentional grounding by Colorado, the slow-to-start Tiger offense came alive. Ressel hit a 47-yarder and Gabbert found receiver Jerrell Jackson and tight end Michael Egnew for scores in the second quarter.

The Tiger running game is struggling with punter Trey Barrow leading all Missouri rushers after his 26-yard haul on a fake punt play.

Colorado has missed two 40-yard field goal attempts on their only two scoring chances, with the second one being block by the Missouri defense.

The Buffaloes will receive to start the second half and try to get on the board.

Egnew finds the end zone

Gabbert found tight end Michael Egnew over the middle and the junior wide receiver rumbled into the end zone for the score. The touchdown capped a 97-yard drive for the Tigers.

Missouri now leads 19-0 with time ticking down in the half.

Tigers block field goal after offense fumbles

After Gabbert coughed up the ball at the Missouri 13-yard line, the Tiger defense forced some negative yardage from Colorado before blocking their second 40-yard field goal attempt of the game.

The blocked kick rolled inside the Missouri five-yard line after Terrell Resonno stuffed it. The Tigers take over deep in their own zone with six minutes left in the half.

Tigers score first touchdown of the game

Blaine Gabbert scrambled and found wide receiver Jerrell Jackson deep for a 30-yard touchdown pass.

Missouri now leads 12-0 with ten minutes remaining in the half.

Fake punt for big run

Sophomore punter Trey Barrow stepped in to punt near midfield and ended up running the ball 26 yards down the left side for the first down.

The Tigers now inch toward the red zone.
