Notes For Border Showdown

No tags for this entry.

Missouri and Kansas will meet for the 118th time on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in the annual Border Showdown. Since its inception, the rivalry has been back and forth as the series is knotted at 54-54-9.

The Tigers are looking to extend their winning streak to three games, after defeating Iowa State last weekend by a score of 34-24. It is the last regular season game for Missouri who is looking to boost their resume in hopes of earning a better bowl game.

Kansas also has plenty of motivation for the game. Since starting the season 5-0, the Jayhawks have dropped their last six games, falling to 5-6 (1-6 in the Big 12). In addition, it could be the last game for Kansas head coach Mark Mangino, who has come under fire recently for alleged poor treatment of his players.
